Dear Presidente Barack H Obama,
We would like to start off by congratulating you on your recent inauguration
held on January 20th and we would like to wish you the best luck to your
second term. We hope the almighty God can give you the drive, the wisdom
and the vision to keep leading the most powerful nation on earth.
Mr President,
This letter is the result of today's kidnapping of our citizen José Américo
Bubo Na Tchuto. Bubo, as he was locally called here in Bissau, is a man
involved in a lot of controversy in this country. He was accused of so many
wrongdoings even though he was never judged for them. Honestly speaking,
Mr. President, we will not miss Bubo so we think you can keep him for as
long as you want.
However, Mr President, we would like to have pictures of Bubo in prison.
This would send a very strong message to all those who are still making our
lives a hell. We, the people, of Guinea Bissau, long for peace, justice, stability
and development. One cannot have all this fundamental rights if we keep having
this type of problems. So please Mr. President if you are seating right now in the
oval office take note of this plea and help Guinea-Bissau to find the right path to
sustainable development.
May the lord gives you a long and healthy life Mr. President.
